I use a 2x72 knife making grinder for all of my sharpening, this allows me to not only sharpen almost anything with an edge but I can quickly fix broken tips and chipped edges. You will not be able to tell that I used a grinder, the edge will look factory fresh, only sharper!

This I do sharpen: kitchen knives, hunting knives, kitchen shears, hedge trimmers, lawn mower blades, swords, machetes, guillotine trimmers, chisels, pretty much anything with a straight edge.

Things I do not sharpen: Serrated knives, hair cutting scissors, grooming shears and bread knives.
